Custodian/Shop Support

Custodian / Shop Support – Wholesale Flower Shop (Part-Time)

We’re a busy wholesale flower shop looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to help keep our space clean, organized, and running smoothly.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Washing and organizing flower buckets

  • Sweeping and mopping shop floors

  • Emptying trash and recycling

  • Taking used buckets out of the cooler

  • Cleaning bathrooms

  • Occasional local deliveries using a Ford Econoline van

Schedule

  • Approximately 3-4 days per week

  • Flexible hours — typically starting sometime in the morning and finishing in the afternoon

  • We may occasionally ask about additional days, but availability beyond the regular schedule is not required

Requirements

  • Dependable and comfortable with physical, hands-on work

  • Able to safely drive a larger vehicle (Ford Econoline van)

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Comfortable working independently

Nice to Have (but not required)

  • Experience with custodial, warehouse, or shop work

  • Familiarity with delivery driving

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, working behind the scenes, and being part of a small, hardworking team.

Bookkeeper

Details

Wholesale Flower Market is seeking a bookkeeper to handle the following:

  • Pays invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment.

  • Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information, computing charges, and refunds, and preparing and mailing invoices.

  • Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments.

  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

  • Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.

  • Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.

  • Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments and adjustments.

  • Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.

  • Secures financial information by completing database backups.

  • Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

  • Manage Inventory

  • Manage Payroll

Our ideal candidate has a friendly personality, pays attention to detail, and can learn quickly. Knowledge of flowers is not required.

Hours

  • Approximately 40 hours per week (Store hours are Monday through Friday between 7AM - 4PM, and Saturday 7AM - 12PM.)

Qualifications

  • Degree in relevant field

  • Virginia driver's license

  • Ability to pass drug screen and willingness to submit to background check
