What’s a Christmas workshop without a little wrapping?! For this workshop, we’ll “wrap” the inside of a cylinder vase with waterproof ribbon. This will both hide stems and help create a streamlined aesthetic.
Using an antique hydrangea as our structure, we’ll weave in stems of mini calla lilies, dianthus, mums, and mini carnations—focusing on grouping flowers for greater visual impact. We’ll create depth within each grouping by staggering placements within our largely monochromatic color palette. Finally, we’ll add “ribbons” of variegated lily grass for an extra special flourish!
This high-style design is perfect to accent your holiday decor, or to give as a gift to someone special on your list.
❄️ Severe weather alert! This Christmas we’re forecasting a veritable winter wonderland in our Christmas centerpiece workshop.
Together we’ll create a baby’s breath cloud (you know, the ones you’ve seen all over Instagram and Pinterest), accented by mini carnations and carnations placed at varying angles and depths. These aren’t your average carnations though… we’ll disguise them for the holiday with a cool technique that will have your guests wondering… “what is that flower?!” 🤯 Even better, given the long-lasting nature of the ingredients, this centerpiece will only get better through your holiday celebrations as your flowers bloom.
As you’ll see, while the design might look effortless, the execution is more nuanced than you might expect. Don’t worry though—we’ll be there to guide you every step of the way! 😊

Don’t miss this hauntingly good design! Design principles are the name of the game for this workshop. We’ll use midnight black floral foam in a cube vase for this arrangement—focusing on making thoughtful placements based on the unique qualities of each material.
Pussy willow fantail branches will create our structure within which we’ll add tinted solidago, scabioisa pods, and deep red mums (paying special attention to balancing scale and proportion). We’ll accent the design with touches of spanish moss to add interest, soften hard lines, and act as a nod to spooky season.
